Carolina Theme Parks are a great way to spend
some time while on vacation. While not everyone visits
the Carolinas for the Theme Parks, many do enjoy the
great weather and all the attractions. There are 3 major
Carolina Theme Parks, The Paramount's Carowinds,
Gold City Amusement Park, and Ghost Town in
the Sky.
Paramount's Carowinds Theme Park is one of the
most popular family entertainment attractions in the
Carolinas. The 105-acre theme and water park straddles
the North Carolina-South Carolina state line and is
located just 15 minutes from uptown Charlotte and 12
miles north of Rock Hill, SC. The park features more
than 50 state-of-the-art rides, shows and movie-themed
experiences for all ages.

Boomerang Bay At Carowinds Theme Park

16 acres of Aussome, flowing fun awaits you in Boomerang
Bay water park! Navigate a four-story rafting adventure;
plunge through twisting tube slides; climb, spray, splash
on a huge, flowing playground; relax in a heated lagoon;
brave wild waves or let the world melt away with a float
down a ramblin' river! Boomerang Bay is open during
the summer only.
Gold City Gem Mine - Come to Gold City for a
day full of fun and excitement for the whole family.
Mine in our new and improved, covered flume rain or
shine. Keep what you find! Take all mined stones in
to our jeweler for free gem identification. Professional
cutting is also available in our jewelry store along
with a wide variety of gold and silver jewelry.
Ghost Town - Begin your journey with a ride
to Ghost Town in the Sky, on either the chair lift,
the incline railway, or the Ghost Town shuttle bus.
Once you reach the top, the fun begins. The atmosphere
of the old west surrounds you. Stroll the streets and
enjoy the nostalgic shops and displays. You can even
have your name in the headlines of the Ghost Town Gazette.
Will you be a bank robber or a hero ? The fantasy is
yours.
We no it's not Orlando or Anaheim, but these parks
will keep you busy for a few days while on vacation
in the Carolinas. In between goling, hiking, skiing,
